Regions and endings explained
Eight handcrafted regions and eight possible endings — what S-GAME has confirmed about the structure of Phantom Blade Zero, and what nobody can say yet.
Eight regions, eight endings
S-GAME has confirmed Phantom Blade Zero ships with eight handcrafted regions and eight possible endings. That is a stated count, not a sliding scale of alternate text — and the studio has framed the map as a wuxia journey through distinct, authored locations rather than a single open world.
What "eight endings" means for replay
Multiple endings in a character-action game usually point to branching choices that compound across acts. With eight on the table, the structure is clearly built for replays — but S-GAME has not explained how those branches open: whether they are tied to boss defeats, hidden objectives, or moral choices along the route.
The regions are authored, not generated
Calling them handcrafted matters. It signals set-piece design and pacing control rather than procedural filler, and it fits the studio’s cinematic ambition. It also means the eight-region count is a creative decision, not a content target they have to pad out.
What we don't know yet
- —The names and themes of any of the eight regions.
- —How the eight endings diverge — what the player actually does to reach each one.
- —Whether endings are locked behind difficulty modes such as 66 Days.
- —The main-story boss roster, which S-GAME has confirmed is still unrevealed.
